about me

I’m a Brummie living in Yorkshire. I moved here in 2004 and fell in love with more than just the county.

I started to write articles and short stories for magazines and newspapers in 1985 before training as a broadcast journalist with BBC Radio. I taught creative writing to adults for both Solihull and Birmingham local authorities and was a distance learning tutor for the Writers’ News home study division for more than ten years.

I’m now a full time freelance writer who also edits and proofreads in-house and education trade magazines, non-fiction books and classroom resources.
